Default Financial real life skills= good guild wars budget

well i reckon people who are good business persons and like guild wars will have quite some luxury if they sell and buy stuff in kamadan and lions arch but that might just depend on the persons intelligence so what do you guys reckon?

my personal opinion is that if you use smart budget tips out of real life actually works like putting some money back for yourself but there are much more money tipps.

what is your secret to make wins in the big kamadan market?

Learn what are the most popular items and what the pricing is for those items. Start small and work your way up. Be prepared to spend a lot of time with nothing happening.

Read the OP and some of the posts in this thread found in Community Works. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/h...t10127197.html

It also helps if you make Guild Wars your life and cut off all communication to the real world.

I think the days of big profits in Kamadan are long gone. Everything that is being sold has been in the game for 3+ years now. Less people to sell it to, or buy cheap items from. Rare miniatures are so rare the seller can name the price...

The real key to getting rich in GW was being the first one to discover a glitch and abusing the heck out of it before Anet became aware and patched it, at the same time not being too obvious about it so you wouldn't get banned afterwards.

Which is kinda like RL.

On the contrary power traders make money faster thus require less time grinding (see farming) to buy stuff, upgrade characters etc. It's the farmers and people who spend countless hours scraping away for chump change that need a life. So basically your analysis is false.

I kind of agree....however starting out...it requires a bit of patients and time to learn the market...

So while overall power traders make more...over the short term if its a choice between starting up farming or starting up trading...I think that farming may just when out (again over the short term)

RL money skills matter little in GW, since in GW you can't get into debt.

Power trading only works IF most other people don't powertrade but instead work. Only so many can powertrade before the cycle breaks. Just a friendly reminder.

Luckily, most people still do farm. Which makes powertrading worthwhile.
